Project Description

Construction of a Future Tunnel for Mount Pritchard RSL Club by MPA Construction. Our Contract Scope 40x contiguous piles to 4-4.5m deep into 1000KPa Shale rock. Our Challenge, working in a confined space workzone, with a restricted head height of 4.0m and a width span of 3.6m. Piling Experts modified an auger to drill 350 dia piles to suit the engineered design. We also utilised an exhaust hose and mechanical system to eliminate fumes from the confined space. Our scope was extended to assist the client in excavation, hammering and spoil removal, due to  unexpected obstructions in the ground. A Total of 7 working days to excavate basement, hammer exisiting footings and drill 40x piles in a contiguous sequence.
